After graduating in 1985, Mr. Goodwin began his career at AT&T Technologies working as a lithography engineer making Dynamic Random Access Memories in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Goodwin left AT&T and began working at Advanced Micro Devices where he was on a team that manufactured the world’s high operating frequency 286, 386 and 486 microprocessors. Mr Goodwin was active in lithography research and led research teams developing new lithography tools at SEMATECH a semiconductor industry consortium. He has been responsible for development and transfer of manufacturing processes from R&D to volume manufacturing in Austin, Japan, Taiwan and China. Mr. Goodwin earned an MBA in business from St. Edwards University in Austin in 1990 while working for Advanced Micro Devices. He is current the engineering manager for Spansion in Austin concentrating on NOR memory manufacturing. He holds five patents and has delivered more than 20 industry publications. Mr. Goodwin lives in Austin with his wife Laura, daughter Aubrey and son Will. He has enjoyed coaching youth sports and volunteering with the Oak Hill United Methodist youth group on mission trips. He also enjoys working on vintage muscle cars.
