After graduation, Amy joined Phillips 66 in Odessa, TX as a Process Engineer supporting natural gas processing plants. In 1995, she transferred to the Houston area, working for Phillips HCC, as a Process Engineer supporting a styrene-butadiene copolymer manufacturing unit. She spent sixteen years in various Operations and Process Engineering roles within that unit as the company changed to Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC – also known as CPChem. She became the Senior Process Engineer for that unit in 2011 and has been the Senior Process Engineer for the Polyethylene Manufacturing Unit in Pasadena, TX, since 2013. Her roles, in addition to her typical Process Engineering duties, include serving on developmental resin trials, PHA/IPL teams, providing resource and startup assistance for debottleneck/new manufacturing plants, and participating in Information Exchange Teams for CPChem’s Licensee’s/Joint Venture plants.
