Brett began his career with Warren Petroleum Company at their Venice Gas Plant in Venice, LA as a PSM Compliance Coordinator and Facility Engineer. In 1998, he accepted a Principal Engineer position with the Coastal Corporation in Houston, TX providing process and project engineering support for numerous gas plants and pipeline facilities. In 2005, Brett joined Targa Resources in Houston serving in midstream engineering roles of increasing responsibility and has remained with Targa since then. He is currently Senior Vice President – Engineering for Targa’s Logistics and Transportation/Downstream Business segment. Brett is a registered, professional engineer in Texas and Louisiana. He is active in the GPA Midstream Association; serving as a Committee Member on the GPA Midstream Research Committee from 2010 to 2020, and on the GPA Midstream Technical Executive Committee from 2019 to present.

Brett is a native of Gravette, AR.  He and his wife, Christine, currently reside in Humble, TX and have three children and two grandchildren. They are active members of Atascocita United Methodist Church and enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as travelling in their motorhome with the grandkids as much as they can.
