Mr. White first worked for Standard Oil Company in 1940 as a cooperative education student. After graduation, he was hired as a Refinery Laboratory Assistant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has served as a technical advisor to many of the affiliated companies of Standard Oil Company outside the United States. Starting in 1966, he was responsible for planning manufacturing facilities, investments and long-range supplies for all petroleum specialties products for Europe, Mediterranean, Africa and Middle East areas. Mr. White was inducted into the College of Engineering Hall of Fame in 1972.

Mr. White passed away December 18, 2015. He will be missed.
