Mr. Black joined the DuPont Co. immediately after graduating from the University of Arkansas, beginning what would become a 39-year career. About 18 years were spent in various technical and operations positions at plants in Memphis, Tennessee, and Orange, Texas, interrupted by a two-year assignment in marketing. In 1981, he moved to Wilmington, Delaware where he provided financial analysis and supply chain expertise for a series of eight different businesses, ranging from embryonic start-ups to those
having sales of over a half-billion dollars per year.
Black retired in 1999 and relocated to Naples, Florida where Linda, his wife of thirty-four years, passed away in 2001. Later he met Beverly Zahn and they married in 2005. Their combined families include 7 children and 16 grandchildren.

Mr. Black passed away September 14, 2017. He will be missed.
