After graduating in 1985, Mark began his career as a plasma etch supervisor at AT&T Technologies in Kansas City manufacturing DRAMs and then transferred to Orlando to work in AT&T’s ASIC manufacturing in 1987 as a plasma etch engineer. In 1991, Mark again transferred with AT&T to the ASIC manufacturing factory in Madrid, Spain. He progressed through engineering management positions and became the wafer fab operations director. While in Spain, Mark became fluent in Spanish. After the Madrid fab closed in 2001, Mark joined Lam Research (semiconductor equipment supplier) in Fremont, CA as the Director of Technical Support. Mark continues to work for Lam as the Managing Director of business operations for the North America Region. Mark lives in Pleasanton with his wife Isabel and daughters Sara and Monica. He enjoys watching his daughters play soccer, playing golf most weekends and going back to Spain every summer to visit family and friends.
