O. Tom Beasley

In 1931, Mr. Beasley was born in Augusta, Arkansas, where he attended grade school and high school.

After serving in the Army Ordinance Corps as commander of a cellular detachment, Beasley worked for Union Carbide in Texas for 22 years in operations, purchasing, and marketing. Beasley was a co-founder of Chemical Market Associates, Inc., a world-wide petrochemical consulting company, and was the president for 14 years, before retiring in 1994.

Beasley collaborated with Dr. Jim Couper and Dr. Roy Penney in writing “The Chemical Process Industries Infrastructure: Function and Economics.” Beasley holds a commercial pilot’s certificate, with an instrument rating, and a rating of Certified Flight Instructor.
