Pat Caldarera

MSChE 1990

After receiving his MSChE in 1990, Pat began his career with Eastman Chemical Company as a research engineer at Eastman’s Texas operations in Longview, Texas, where he managed operations of several semi work-scale processes. In 1996, Pat moved to Eastman’s Oxo Ethylene Products Division as a Senior Staff Engineer where he served as division representative on numerous capital projects, primarily in the field of syngas production. In 2001, Pat became a Production Manager for the Oxo Alcohols Department, the world’s largest oxo aldehyde production facility. There he served as production manager in three separate areas within the department: syngas production, aldehyde synthesis, and alcohol production. In 2010, Pat became the Department Superintendent of Special Polymers, overseeing a department producing amorphous polyolefins and hydrocarbon resins for worldwide customers. Away from work, Pat enjoys fly fishing and vacationing with his family. He is an active member of his church and enjoys leading an annual men’s spiritual retreat in Texas.
