Dr. Eldridge currently serves as program head of the Process Science and Technology Center and as distinguished senior lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. In his capacity as PSTC head the coordinates the activities of a full-time technical staff and oversees a research effort whose principal investigators employ more than forty graduate students. The center enjoys a worldwide reputation as a leader in the investigation and development of process technology. As senior lecturer, Eldridge teaches courses covering traditional chemical engineering conceptsin fluid fl ow, process design, heat and mass transfer. His teaching approach combines a strong emphasis on chemical engineering fundamentals while promoting a detailed understanding of the applied concepts which are key to professional engineering practice. Outside the university, Eldridge has served as chair of the AIChE Separations Division and chair of the Bartlesville, Oklahoma AIChE chapter. Awards include Young Engineer of the Year from the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers. Eldridge and his wife, Kathleen Dyre, have two daughters. Outside interests include coordinating church related youth activities and bicycling in all forms.
